We have both unrated and rated tournaments by the U.S. Chess Federation.

Most JCC tournaments - as are all larger tournaments in other cities - are USCF-rated. This means for the rated events you must be a member of the USCF to participate. CLUB & USCF memberships are available on site of any JCC tournaments.

The USCF maintains ratings for all of its players, publishes a monthly magazine, retails chess supplies, and provides a series of other benefits for its members.  See: www.uschess.org

 

 

Ray Charles was one of many blind people who had a keen interest in chess.

Also available is membership in the Florida Chess Association.  FCA also has a state magazine and other benefits on the state level.  See: www.floridachess.org
